Yeah, I don't know. Have been twice. First experience was AMAZING! Best brisket I've had since moving from DFW! Sides were good and all was right with the world. Returned a few months later and it was a totally different experience. Fatty meat when I ordered lean, sides were bland. Everything fell way short. Going to try again for the average. That first visit was worth the effort to give is another go. I get it that a cow is a cow and sometimes they're different but a meat cutter is a meat cutter and should look at the quality when cutting. Met the owner on that first visit and he and the manager were totally cool! I really want to like this place. I always want to support a small, local business and truly hope that second trip was an anomaly.

While traveling our group found this amazing spot. Satisfied all of our tastes I don't eat pork however every selection was amazing the corn on the cob is seasoned and grilled to Perfection chili fries the burgers the sliders OMG the only thing better than that is my comedy feel free to check me out as well #sistalucomedy on all platforms.

This was hands down some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. The brisket was especially good. You could tell this was truly smoked for a long time. The fat was rendered perfectly and was nothing but delicious added flavor. The bark was plentiful, but not hard and crunchy like you see in so many places. It pulled apart so easy and didn't require any heavy chewing to eat. It had a lot of great flavor. Their BBQ sauce added some nice additional flavor. I also had the Santa Maria Tri-tip and it was also very good. It had a nice smokey, meaty flavor and was very different from the brisket. So many places I have eaten BBQ you can barely tell the difference between the brisket and the tri-tip that they serve, but here it was a clear difference and both were delicious. The kettle beans were loaded with flavor as well and the portion was just right.

Great tasting BBQ! The staff are so friendly. Had a sample of the beef ribs, brisket, tri-tip, beans and slaw. Garlic rolls were included. Everything was spot on. They have a couple sauces that were just the right amount of vinegar to sweet. Then dessert. Had a key lime pie that was the best I had outside of Florida. Jake was the manager and ensured we were satisfied. Highly recommend trying this place.

Holy Cow BBQ hit the spot. We ordered take out for the UFC fights. The pulled pork was the star of the show, absolutely delicious. Beef ribs (we had two) were very, very good, and the half rack of pork ribs were excellent. Onion rings were outstanding, some of the best I’ve had. Fried pickles weren’t as good, but that might be on us since it was takeout. Brisket had good flavor but leaned a little dry. I used my own Gates and Arthur Bryant’s sauce, which took everything to the next level. Definitely worth it for solid BBQ in Santa Monica.
